On September 13, 2025 at 8:12 pm Watson Lake RCMP received a report of utter threats and point firearm that had taken place in the Ravenhill Drive area of Watson Lake. A search warrant was executed on October 3, 2025 and three people have been charged.
On October 3, 2025 members of the Watson Lake RCMP, with the assistance of Whitehorse RCMP officers, the Critical Incident Commander and M Division Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a Watson Lake residence in relation to this incident. Police seized a firearm and a quantity of substances believed to be cocaine.
47-year-old Jarret Munch and 35-year-old Justin Stone, both from Watson Lake, have been arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. They have been released on conditions with a court date of October 7, 2025 in Watson Lake.
23-year-old Eric Brooks, from Fort Nelson, British Columbia has been arrested and charged with pointing a firearm and uttering threats. Mr. Brooks has been released on conditions with a court date of December 2, 2025 in Watson Lake.
