On November 6, 2025, Whitehorse RCMP and the Yukon Coroner’s Service began their investigations into the sudden death of Floyd Charlie of Whitehorse. Mr. Charlie was found near the riverbank area of Shipyards Park in Whitehorse. The investigation has found no evidence of criminal involvement. The Yukon Coroner’s Service has now assumed primary responsibility of this matter and confirms that Mr. Charlie’s death was determined to be accidental.
The RCMP would like to thank the public who provided information.
