On July 14, 2025, at 6:02 p.m., Airdrie RCMP received reports of a shooting that occurred outside of a residence on Langholm Drive in Airdrie. Two individuals sitting in a vehicle were shot at, one being struck. The victim was transported to the hospital and is expected to recover. The suspect’s stolen vehicle was soon located on fire in a nearby alley on Ravenswood View.
Police believe this was a targeted attack, and there is no ongoing risk to the community.
While RCMP continue our investigation, we are asking for public assistance. Police are looking for surveillance footage of the suspects following them abandoning the vehicle on Ravenswood View. Police are asking residents who may not have already been spoken to by officers and who live on Langholm Drive, Ravenswood View, and Yankee Valley Bouvard to have a look at your home surveillance or dash cam footage at around this time period and report any suspicious people or vehicles in the area.

At approximately 6 p.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Lanark. Officers are currently on scene and are investigating. There is no risk to the public at this time. An update will be provided when more information becomes available.
