Wainwright RCMP investigate stabbing

On July 18, 2025, at 11:54 p.m., Wainwright RCMP received a report of a disturbance at a residence in Wainwright. Upon arrival, police were informed that two stabbing victims had been taken to hospital with injuries. Both injured victims are expected to recover.

Officers located and arrested a 23-year-old male suspect. He has charges pending for:

• Assault with a weapon(x2);
• and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both stabbing victims were members of the Canadian Armed Forces in Wainwright.

Despite these initial charges, the investigation into this incident continues.
