Parkland RCMP partners with local agencies for traffic enforcement for Labour Day weekend

Aug. 29 & Sept. 1, 2025, Parkland RCMP partnered with RCMP Traffic Services, Parkland County Enforcement Services, and Alberta Sheriff Highway Patrol to ensure traffic safety in the Parkland County over the Labour Day long weekend.

Over 100 violation tickets were issued over the long weekend. 98 violations in relation to speeding, four impaired by alcohol, and additional traffic related offences. One driver was issued with an excessive speed violation ticket for travelling at 165km/hr in a 110km/hr zone.

“Thank you to the thousands of vehicles that passed through that were obeying the rules of the road.” Says Inspector McGillivray of the Parkland RCMP.
