Fairview RCMP makes arrest after call from the public

Fairview, Alta. – On Oct. 28, 2025, Fairview RCMP pulled up to a vehicle on the side of a rural road and noted that someone was asleep at the wheel. The individual woke up, started speaking to police and fled the scene in the vehicle, though police were able to identify the driver. On Nov. 13, 2025, Fairview RCMP received a complaint regarding dangerous driving. The suspect vehicle was located at a local store and the driver, who was confirmed to be the same as the prior incident, was arrested and further investigation led to the seizure of:
- 50 grams of methamphetamine;
- 22 grams of fentanyl;
- Over 2 kgs of GHB;
- Over $10000 in Canadian currency; and
- Stolen property.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old, resident of Fairview, was charged with:
- Flight from police;
- Dangerous driving;
- Impaired operation of a motor vehicle;
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000;
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3); and
- Multiple traffic safety act violations.
The individual was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. They are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on Dec. 10, 2025.
