Whitecourt RCMP makes arrest in drug investigation

Whitecourt, Alta. – In Nov. 2025, Whitecourt RCMP received information from the public regarding individuals who may have been trafficking drugs. Whitecourt RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS), took carriage of the investigation, assisted by other Whitecourt RCMP members. On Dec. 12, 2025, Whitecourt RCMP GIS and Detachment members executed a search warrant on an address, arresting two people within, one of which still has charges pending. As a result of the search warrant, 15 doses (approx. 1g each) of meth, pre-packaged for sale and drug trafficking paraphernalia were seized.

As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old, resident of Whitecourt, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

They were brought before a justice of the peace released on conditions and are to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Whitecourt on Jan. 13, 2026.
