Alberta RCMP Community Response Team and Parkland Crime Reduction Unit seize quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, and money

Onoway, Alta – On Dec. 18, 2025, the Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team and the Parkland RCMP Crime Reduction Unit were making patrols when they located a vehicle acting suspiciously in Onoway. A traffic stop was conducted which led to the occupants being arrested and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
As a result of the investigation, police located and seized:
- 83 grams of Cocaine;
- 3 grams of Methamphetamine;
- Canadian Currency; and
- A replica firearm.
RCMP charged a 33-year-old resident of Whitecourt and a 33-year-old resident of Fox Creek with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine; and,
- Possession of property obtained by crime.
The 33-year-old was also charged with the following additional charges:
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and,
- Failure to comply with a Release Order.
The accused have been released on an undertaking with conditions to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on March 25, 2026.
As the information has not been sworn yet, police are unable to provide names of the accused.
