Fort Saskatchewan RCMP arrest individual for possession of stolen property

Fort Sask., Alta. – On Dec. 14, 2025, at 3:10 A.M., Fort Saskatchewan RCMP attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a suspicious pick-up truck leaving a rural property in Sturgeon County. The pick-up truck fled from police but was acquired shortly when RCMP were able to disable the vehicle by using a cover tire deflation device. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. Police located several stolen credit cards and identification on the suspects incidental to arrest. A search warrant was granted and conducted on the suspects vehicle. Police located several stolen items inside the vehicle belonging to the home owners of the residence where they were originally observed leaving.
A 44-year-old, resident of Fort McMurray, Alta; was charged with the following offences:
- Flight from peace officer;
- Theft of credit card;
- Possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5000;
- Illegal possession of trafficking in Government documents.
The individual was brought before a Justice of the Peace and released from custody, their next court appearance at the Alberta Court of Justice Fort Saskatchewan is on Jan. 15, 2026.
As this matter is now before the court, no further updates are anticipated.
