Fort Saskatchewan RCMP seek public assistance with fire to dumpster

Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.- On Feb 1, 2026, at 11:33 pm, Fort Saskatchewan RCMP along with Fort Saskatchewan Fire Department, responded to a fire in a dumpster in residential complex located on Southfort Boulevard and Town Crest Road in Fort Saskatchewan. 

On Feb 2, 2026 at 9:21 pm, While conducting pro active patrols Fort Saskatchewan RCMP located a fire in a dumpster in the same residential complex located on Southfort Boulevard and Town Crest Road in Fort Saskatchewan.

The cause of both fires is currently unknown. There was no damage to any near by property. 

Reminder to residents and commercial businesses to make sure garbage and recycling is placed in the proper receptacles, emptied regularly and that receptacles are located away from buildings.

While RCMP investigate, we are asking the public for your help. Residents in the area are asked to check their surveillance around the times of the incidents and report to RCMP of anything suspicious.
