Consort RCMP request assistance in locating person reported missing – Update 3

Diane Cooper

Consort, Alta. – In an effort to help consolidate the activities of this missing person investigation, Consort RCMP are providing a brief summary of events and continue to seek assistance from the public in locating Diane Cooper. Consort RCMP still believe the last known location of Diane Cooper was in Saskatchewan. If Alberta licence plate LVA978 is seen on a grey Toyota C-HR XLE, please contact your local police to attend immediately.  

Diane Cooper and her Dalmatian dog "Halo” are still missing. Diane may be disoriented and confused, so please contact your local police to respond to speak with Diane. 

Summary of events: 

April 6, 2026: 

  • At 9:30 p.m., Diane Cooper reported missing to Consort RCMP
  • COOPER left Calgary at approximately 3:30 p.m.; 
  • Air tag ping provided location of Highway 12 near Veteran, Alta.; and  
  • Alberta RCMP vehicle patrolled the area with negative results. 

April 7, 2026 

  • Cell phone pings and air tag not responding, but history shows: 

o   Diane’s key Fob was at 4607-50 Street in Stettler April 6, 2026, at 5:33 p.m., 

o   Halo was at Palliser Trail in Hanna on April 6, 2026, at 6:59 p.m.; 

o   Diane’s vehicle was at 7559 Hwy 12 near Veteran on April 6, 2026, at 9:18 p.m.; 

  • Surveillance photo provided of Diane Cooper fueling up her vehicle and the dog was with her; and 
  • Alberta RCMP detachments roving patrols for ‘Be on the Look Out” (BOLO) for vehicle with Alberta licence LVA978, grey Toyota hatchback, for Diane Cooper with her dog. 

April 8, 2026 

  • Media Release sent out by Alberta RCMP within Alberta at 6:37 a.m., and by Saskatchewan RCMP within Saskatchewan at 9:42 a.m., to request public assistance in assistance with locating Diane Cooper;  
  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; 
  • RCMP Detachments in Alberta and Saskatchewan continue BOLO vehicle patrols for Diane Cooper with negative results; 
  • Missing Persons poster shared by Consort RCMP with neighbouring RCMP detachments in both Alberta and Saskatchewan; and
  • Alberta RCMP Air Services flight was completed with negative results. 

April 9, 2026 

  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; 
  • RCMP Detachments in Alberta and Saskatchewan continue BOLO vehicle patrols for Diane Cooper; and 
  • RCMP Air Services Helicopter conducted patrols around Consort and Monitor with negative results. 

April 10, 2026 

  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; 
  • Multiple RCMP detachments BOLO for Diane Cooper; patrols made with negative results; 
  • Saskatchewan RCMP Air Services requested and completed flight on Saskatchewan side of border, including Compeer, Major, Hwy 7, Marengo and Hoosier with negative results; and
  • Animal Shelters contacted in numerous locations with negative results; 

April 11-12, 2026 

  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; and 
  • Multiple RCMP detachments in Alberta and Saskatchewan have BOLO for Diane Cooper, patrols made with negative results. 

April 13, 2026 

  • Business in Sask., shared their surveillance footage of matching vehicle on their site in Hoosier, Sask., area on April 6, 2026, at 10:55 p.m.; 
  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; 
  • Multiple RCMP detachments BOLO for Diane Cooper, patrols made with negative results; and 
  • Alberta RCMP Air Services flight from Monitor to Alta./Sask. border with negative results. 

April 14, 2026 

  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; and 
  • Multiple RCMP detachments in Alberta and Saskatchewan have BOLO for Diane Cooper, patrols made with negative results. 

April 15, 2026 

  • Further review of Hoosier footage shows Diane Cooper driving her vehicle with dog in back, near Hoosier, Sask., on April 6, near 11 p.m.; 
  • Police spoke with a person in Stettler, who stated on Apr. 6, they provided Diane directions to Calgary, but saw her leave heading east instead;
  • Multiple tips from the public received by police and followed up, however nothing substantiated; 
  • Multiple RCMP detachments BOLO for Diane Cooper, patrols made with negative results; 
  • Saskatchewan RCMP Search and Rescue advised of the investigation for missing person: Diane Cooper; 
  • Saskatchewan Marshall Services and Surveillance teams have been notified; and 
  • Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Services have been notified.
