On October 28, 2026, 100 Mile RCMP and the Cariboo Crime Reduction Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on the 5400-block of Canim Hendrix Lake Road, in relation to alleged threats. They were assisted by the North District Emergency Response Team.

A man associated to the residence was arrested a short distance from the home. 

The man, identified as 36-year-old Dylan Ryder Gropp, has been charged with the following:

  • Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence
  • Uttering threats to burn, destroy or damage
  • Criminal harassment
  • Committing a violent offence against an intimate partner

Mr. Gropp will remain in-custody until his next court date.
