A 52-year-old Pitt Meadows man is dead, and BC Highway Patrol is looking for your help with dash-camera video and witnesses to determine the exact circumstances of the fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway #99.

Police were called on October 10, 2025, shortly after noon when a white, Dodge Ram flat deck truck went off-road right on Highway #99 northbound just after the Steveston onramp. The resulting highway shutdown caused major delays for several hours.

“The evidence collected so far is that the deceased driver was alone in the white Dodge Ram flat deck. We have not identified any other vehicles or people involved,” says Corporal Michael McLaughlin with BC Highway Patrol. “Speaking to more witnesses and gathering dash-camera video will be key to figuring out the exact cause of this crash.”

If you saw anything in the moments leading up to the fatal crash on Highway #99, or you have dash-camera video, please call BC Highway Patrol – Burnaby at 604-526-9744 and quote file (1004) 2025-1855.
