Exactly one year after a collision claimed the life of a 62-year-old Wardner woman, an Alberta man has been charged in relation to her death.
On February 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., a white Dodge pickup collided with a grey Pontiac hatchback on Highway #3/#93 near Pritchard Road. The Wardner woman was driving the grey Pontiac.
BC Highway Patrol investigators worked hard to gather evidence so that the results of the investigation could be forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service (BCPS). On February 11, 2026, the BCPS approved a single charge against Dany Dube:
- Dangerous operation of a conveyance (motor vehicle) causing death, section 320.13(3) of the Criminal Code.
The 50-year-old Dube is scheduled to make his first court appearance on April 13, 2026.
