Burnaby RCMP - Community Police Offices
The Burnaby RCMP operates four Community Police Offices (CPOs), which are spread geographically across the city and offer a number of in-person services. Community Response Team (CRT)
Members of Burnaby RCMP’s Community Response Team (CRT) are strategically placed throughout the community of Burnaby, and often work out of Community Police Offices. CRT is a specialized unit that works to reduce the fear of crime by keeping a visible, connected, and approachable presence in the community. CRT works closely with partner agencies and other Burnaby RCMP units to respond to ongoing issues affecting the community. In addition, CRT members also focus on public safety education, engagement, and outreach.
Community Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC)
Each policing district in Burnaby also has a Community Safety Advisory Committee (CSAC). Committee members work with other community safety partners, including police and Crime Reduction staff, to identify and find new solutions to address community safety challenges.
