Chilliwack RCMP investigate collision involving E-scooter and semi-truck

Chilliwack RCMP is investigating a collision involving an E-scooter and a semi-truck after the truck allegedly failed to remain at the scene.

On Saturday October 3, 2026, at approximately 5:35 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP responded to a report of a collision in the 45000 block of Airport Road near the pedestrian railway crossing. An adult male riding an E-scooter sustained injuries following a collision with a semi-truck.

The involved vehicle is described as a white semi-truck pulling a trailer. The truck allegedly continued driving from the area without stopping following the collision.

The E-scooter rider was transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Airport Road was closed for a short period while officers conducted their investigation.

Chilliwack RCMP is seeking witnesses or anyone who may have dash camera footage or video surveillance from the area at the time of the collision.
