On October 27, 2025, near Clinton, BC, a young moose found itself in a bit of jam getting trapped behind a fence. Fortunately for the moose, Clinton RCMP and the BC Conservation Officer Service responded to lend a hoof and a helping hand.

The officers worked together with calm coordination and a little patience were able to gently guide the curious moose towards freedom. The young moose eventually found the opening it need and moose-d back into the forest.

“It’s not an everyday that you are called to a stuck moose. We’re glad that we were able to let this moose loose and that no one was moose-handled in the process,” said Cst. Taylor Sippel, responding RCMP officer from the BC Provincial Support Team.

The Clinton RCMP and the BC Conservation Officer would like to remind the public to always keep a safe distance from wildlife and report animals in distress to the RAPP line at 1-877-952-7277.
