Coffee with a Cop returns to Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam

Coquitlam RCMP is inviting residents to connect with local officers, staff, and volunteers over a cup of coffee at two upcoming Coffee with a Cop events this October.

Hosted on October 8 in Port Coquitlam and on October 15 in Coquitlam, Coffee with a Cop is a community engagement initiative that provides an opportunity for residents to meet police officers in a relaxed and informal setting. Community members are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, discuss neighbourhood concerns, learn about policing initiatives, or simply enjoy a conversation with police officers, call takers, city staff and volunteers who work at the Coquitlam RCMP.

"Community safety starts with strong relationships," says Superintendent Ian MacLellan, Officer in Charge Coquitlam RCMP. "Coffee with a Cop creates an opportunity for residents to meet local officers, share their perspectives, and learn more about the work being done in their community. These conversations can occur in a relaxed environment to help strengthen the partnerships that are essential to effective community policing."

Coffee with a Cop is a drop‑in, family‑friendly event, and everyone is welcome. Free coffee and treats will be provided.

Port Coquitlam:
