Coquitlam RCMP seeking witnesses and dash cam footage following single-vehicle collision

Coquitlam RCMP is seeking witnesses and dash cam footage to a single-vehicle collision that occurred on Lougheed Highway on October 3, 2026.

Shortly after 4:40 p.m., Coquitlam RCMP officers responded to the 2900 block of Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam following a report of a vehicle colliding with a utility pole.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was assessed and treated at the scene by BC Emergency Health Services. The driver was subsequently arrested for allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired and transported to the Coquitlam RCMP detachment as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators are asking anyone who was travelling in the area of Lougheed Highway and Westwood Street between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. on October 3, 2026, and who may have witnessed the collision or captured relevant dash cam footage, to contact police.

This investigation remains active and on-going.
