Woman arrested following stabbing in Dawson Creek

Dawson Creek RCMP are investigating after a stabbing left one person injured on June 29, 2026.

At approximately 10:58 a.m., Dawson Creek RCMP were called to a report of an assault at a residence in the 9600-block of 15th Street. BC Emergency Health Services had responded to the location after receiving a report of a stabbing victim who was making their way to hospital.

Police attended both the scene and the hospital. Officers located the victim at the property, where the individual had sustained a stab wound to the lower torso.

A female suspect was later located and arrested in connection with the incident. She remains in custody as the investigation continues.

The victim received medical treatment for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
