On March 22, 2025 at 11:28am, Fort St John RCMP received a report of a single commercial vehicle that had lost its load in the area of Northern Lights Drive and Highway 97 in Fort St John.

Fort St John RCMP frontline police attended and located a semi that had slowed down, causing a load of metal pipes to come loose and slide forward.  The instability of the load caused the semi unit to veer toward the ditch and some of the loose pipes crashed through the cab of the semi tractor.

The driver was uninjured during the incident and was issued a violation ticket for insecure cargo.
