Severely beaten man found abandoned in ditch in Baldonnel, BC

The Fort St John RCMP is asking the public for information regarding a potential aggravated assault that occurred some time before the morning of October 16, 2025.

On October 16, 2025, at 7:44 AM, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a male lying injured in a ditch of the 238 Road near the 253 Road in Baldonnel, BC. Frontline RCMP members, the Fire Department, and BC Emergency Health Services members attended and found a conscious but incoherent 37-year-old male in the ditch. The male had injuries to the majority of his body, believed to be the result of an assault, and was transported to the Fort St John Hospital where he was intubated for several days.
