The Fort St John RCMP would like to alert the public of an increase in thefts related to All Terrain Vehicles (ATV's) over the last several weeks. Police are wanting to remind the owners of ATV's to properly secure their vehicles to prevent them from being stolen. Keeping ATV's locked in a secure area, such as a garage or shed help to deter thieves. Removing keys after using the ATV's and ensuring that the VIN is recorded help police return stolen items to the proper owner once recovered.
