Fort St John RCMP investigate fatal semi collision

On July 27 at 3:46pm, the Fort St John RCMP received a report of a single vehicle rollover on the Montney Road at the 246 Road, just north of Fort St John, BC.
Fort St John frontline RCMP officers, the Fort St John Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service arrived on scene and located a semi with trailer that had exited the road to the right, rolling and coming to rest in the ditch. The semi had been traveling northbound at the time of the collision.
A single male driver was located deceased on scene.
The Fort St John Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services unit attended, their investigation is on going.
“Our hearts go out to the family during this tragic loss,” said Constable Chad Neustaeter, Media Relations Officer for the Fort St John RMCP. “At this time there is no criminality being attributed to this file.”
The road remained closed for the entire afternoon and early evening while crews remained on scene. The road was reopened around midnight.
