Search for Laureen Fabian continues with renewed plea from family

Laureen Fabian was last seen on October 28, 2019, when she left her home on foot for a walk, something she had done many times in the past.
This time, however, she did not return. An extensive ground and air search was completed at the time by RCMP and local Search and Rescue; however, no information as to where Laureen may have ended up was ever located.
On this, the seventh anniversary of her disappearance, the family is renewing their plea for information on what may have happened to Laureen, or where she may be now. See the video below for a message from her daughter, Catrina Andrews.

Corporal Jennifer Cooper: On October 28th, 2019, around 12:30 in the afternoon, Laureen Fabian left her home in Houston, BC to go for a walk, as she had many times before. Unfortunately, on this occurrence, she did not return home. Extensive searches in the area did not reveal what may have happened to Laureen. Her friends and family are still searching for clues.
Catrina Andrews : Our family is asking for the public's help in locating Laureen Fabian. Mom, if you're hearing this, please contact home. We want to know that you are safe. There are people who care about you and want to hear from you. If anyone has seen Laureen or has information that may help locate her, please contact police. Even the smallest piece of information may be important. We love you, we miss you, thank you.
Corporal Jennifer Cooper:The North District RCMP's major crime unit continues to investigate this disappearance. They're asking that anyone who may have information related to the disappearance of Laureen Fabian or may know where she is now, please contact your local police detachment.
Here is a description of Laureen Fabian at the time of her disappearance:
- Caucasian female
- 69 years old
- 5’4” (163 cm)
- 143 lbs (65 kg)
- Short, grey hair (not as pictured)
- Brown eyes
The North District Major Crime Unit currently has conduct of this investigation. If anyone has information on Laureen Fabian’s disappearance, they are asked to contact the Houston RCMP Detachment at 250-845-3069 or their local police.
