81-year-old missing woman and her dog located safely

Kamloops RCMP is pleased to advise that the 81-year-old woman who was the subject of a missing persons appeal on April 17, 2026 has been located safely along with her dog. 

The pair was located on a forest service road in a rural area outside of Kamloops on Sunday, April 19, 2026, with the assistance of the RCMP’s Air 4 helicopter. 

The woman has been taken to hospital for assessment, but both she and her dog have been reunited with family. 

The Kamloops RCMP would like the thank the public, media, and BC RCMP Air Services for their assistance.
