Police investigate homicide on Columbia Street

The Kamloops RCMP responded to a report of a shooting early this morning in the 200-block of Columbia Street.

Police have since confirmed the incident is being investigated as a homicide. Evidence currently available to investigators is indicative of a targeted incident.

No additional details are being released at this time, as police continue to investigate and communicate with the victim’s family.

Investigators are asking anyone who has information related to this incident, or who was in the 200-block of Columbia Street between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. and may have dash-camera footage from that time, to contact police.
