Kamloops RCMP CRU arrest man on outstanding warrants

A successful targeted operation led to the arrest of a man with two warrants.
On June 24, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m. an officer from the Kamloops RCMP Detachment Crime Reduction Unit observed, identified and confirmed a man with two outstanding warrants from two different jurisdictions; Chilliwack and Cranbrook.
The arrest of Zachary Ortloff was made safely by CRU officers in Kamloops. The warrants were related to serious violent offences which included aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
“Kamloops RCMP CRU officers continue to prioritize the identification and arrest of individuals who pose a significant risk to community safety,” said Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment. “Through coordinated surveillance and decisive actions officers were able to safely arrest a wanted offender and support our partner detachments in advancing their investigations.”
The man was held in custody pending further proceedings as determined by the originating jurisdictions.
