A loaded firearm, 22 weapons seized and 11 drug files were created as part of an enforcement initiative in Kamloops and Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc.

Between September 23 and September 27, 2026, Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia’s (CFSEU-BC) Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET) partnered up with the Kamloops RCMP Detachment Proactive Enforcement Team for a proactive joint enforcement initiative focused on disrupting crime, alleged gang activity, drug trafficking and targeting prolific offenders.

A total of 32 files were created, and 25 people were arrested over the course of the five days, including the arrest of one man wanted on a Canada Wide Warrant along with several other warrants being executed.  Police seized significant quantities of drugs, weapons and cash during the deployment.  A loaded firearm was also seized as part of the overall enforcement.  Weapons seized included brass knuckles, Airsoft guns, batons, bear spray, axes and knives.

“We continue to focus on disrupting crime, drug trafficking and prolific offenders,” said Superintendent Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.  “This joint initiative highlights our ongoing efforts to community safety through proactive and targeted policing.”

The Kamloops RCMP Detachment and the Kamloops Proactive Enforcement Team would like to thank CFSEU-BC’s Uniform Gang Enforcement Team for their assistance with the investigations and safe outcomes.
