Kamloops RCMP frontline police activated KSAR to help with locating a woman missing from a senior’s community living complex.
On October 7, 2026, at approximately 9:15 p.m., Kamloops RCMP Detachment frontline police received a report of a senior who was missing from the 2200-block of Mayfair Street.
“Police attended, searched the building and nearby areas and were also supported by Police Dog Services,” said Corporal Dana Napier, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson. “In support of frontline efforts Kamloops Search and Rescue, was also activated and deployed to help search for the woman.”
The elderly woman was found deceased by Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) in the early morning hours the next day.
No criminality suspected and this is now a BC Coroners Service investigation. The Kamloops RCMP Detachment would like to thank KSAR for their continued support.
