The RCMP’s enforcement of the BC Supreme Court’s order granted to

Tsawak-qin Forestry Limited Partnership and Tsawak-qin Forestry Inc. continued yesterday, on November 26, 2025.

Upon police arrival on Walbran Forest Service Road, several individuals were discovered to have reoccupied the encampment in the enforcement area and either attached themselves to a structure or obstacle on the road or had perched atop a tree sit.

By end of day, 3 people (2 women, 1 man) were removed from their structures/obstacles and arrested for breaching the court-ordered injunction. They were processed and released on conditions with a court date in January 2026.

Following the arrests, the area was closed off to allow for Tsawak-qin Forestry Limited Partnership and Tsawak-qin Forestry Inc. to clear the roadway and resume their operations.

Since enforcement began on November 25, the RCMP have arrested 7 individuals; 6 for breaching the injunction, and 1 for criminal mischief.

All news releases issued on this police enforcement are posted on the Lake Cowichan RCMP Detachment website.
