Langley RCMP respond to a report of shots fired

On January 8, 2026, at approximately 5:17 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in the 6900 block of 232 Street, Langley.

Officers arrived in the area and located evidence consistent with shots having been fired.  Investigators believe the suspects arrived in a dark coloured sedan and fled the area immediately following the incident.

“Based on initial information we believe this incident is extortion related, investigators are liaising with partner agencies and working to determine possible linkages to other investigations,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “Thankfully, there were no reported injuries as a result of this shooting.”
