Langley RCMP investigating fatal pedestrian train collision

On January 8, 2026, at approximately 7:55 p.m. Langley RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a pedestrian and a train near 206 Street and 98 Avenue in Langley.

Officers, along with first responders from the BC Ambulance Service and Township of Langley Fire Department, attended the area and located the individual who had been struck by the train. “Tragically the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP.
