Langley RCMP are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in the early morning hours of June 12, 2026.
At approximately 12:41 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a report of shots being fired in the 21500 block of 45A Avenue in Langley. Frontline officers attended the area promptly and secured the scene. Upon examination, officers located evidence consistent with shots having been fired at a residence in the neighbourhood.
“Fortunately, no individuals were injured as a result of this incident; however, property damage was reported,” said Sergeant Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP. “Investigators have since been working to gather evidence, canvass the area for witnesses, and review any available surveillance footage to further the investigation. Investigators are working to determine whether this incident is linked to extortion activities or the on-going gang conflict in British Columbia, though there is currently no confirmation of any such connection.”
The Langley RCMP is asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident, or who may have dash camera or CCTV footage from the surrounding neighbourhood between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m., to come forward. Even seemingly minor details may assist investigators in advancing the file.
Should you have any information about this incident, you are asked to contact the Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200 and quote file number 2026-18231.
