Cops for Cancer – Tour de Rock Mock Tour advisory

The countdown is on before the 2026 Cops of Cancer – Tour de Rock team of riders officially hits the road for the 1,200 km journey for Tour de Rock where they will be bringing the energy, excitement, and spirit of the tour to communities across Vancouver Island.

As a preview, the team will be undergoing a Mock Tour this Saturday, August 15, 2026 between Nanaimo and Duncan. During Mock Tour, the team will be under police escort and minor traffic disruptions may occur.

“Mock Tour is your chance to meet this year’s dedicated riders, cheer them on, and show your support before they embark on their journey to help children and families affected by cancer”, said Corporal Alex Bérubé, spokesperson for the BC RCMP and 2026 Tour de Rock rider. “This is more than just a bike ride. It’s a powerful show of community, compassion, unity, and hope”, he adds.
