The investigation into the disappearance of Tamara Lynn Chipman continues 21 years after she was last seen.

On November 10, 2005, Tamara Lynn Chipman was reported missing to police. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that Tamara was last seen hitchhiking from Prince Rupert to Terrace, British Columbia on September 21, 2005, just weeks before her 22nd birthday. Despite the passage of time, investigators continue to seek information from the public that may help determine her last known location and advance the investigation into her disappearance.

“Investigators have followed up on every tip and lead provided over the past two decades, but we are still missing the key pieces needed to understand what happened to Tamara,” said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP. “Someone out there may have information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, that could help move this investigation forward. We urge anyone with information to contact police.”

Although memories fade over time, the BC RCMP remains committed to this ongoing investigation and will not stop seeking answers for Tamara’s family.

Tamara was described as:

• Indigenous woman
• 21 years
• 5 ft 10 in (178 cm)
• 130 lbs (59 kg)
• Brown hair
• Brown eyes

She was last seen wearing

• Blue jeans
• Light blue jacket
