File #2026-8413

Prince George RCMP is currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a vacant lot on Lower Patricia Boulevard, known locally as “Moccasin Flats”.

Police officers received a report of shots fired in the area just after 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026. When they arrived at the location, they found two people inside a trailer suffering from what appeared to be gun shot wounds. Both people were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

“Police officers, including our Forensic Identification unit, have been at that location since the incident was reported, collecting evidence and any relevant information. We are asking that if anyone has details about the incident, they call our non-emergency line to speak with a police officer,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Investigators are asking that anyone with video surveillance or dash camera footage that captured people or vehicles moving around Moccasin Flats between 6:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. also contact the non-emergency line or Northern B.C. Crime Stoppers with the information.

This investigation remains ongoing.
