It’s Law Enforcement Torch Run time!

Prince George RCMP is once again proudly bringing the Law Enforcement Torch Run to our community, happening this Thursday, May 28, 2026.

This year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run is back to its modest roots with Law Enforcement Personnel and Special Olympics athletes and their families joining together for an awareness walk that starts and ends at the Prince George RCMP Detachment on Victoria Street. 

So – how can the public get involved? 

“We would be thrilled to see people lining the route as we walk (or run, skip, hop- you name it) through the city. Bring out your enthusiasm and support as we join our Special Olympics athletes in this event,” says Corporal Jennifer Cooper, one of the organizers for this year’s Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. 

The Law Enforcement Torch Run will be taking place on Thursday, May 28, 2026. We will be leaving the Prince George RCMP Detachment at 3:00 p.m. and anticipate the event will last approximately one hour.
