Prince George RCMP is looking to reunite several tools with their owners, after locating them during an unrelated investigation.
“Police officers seized the tools after executing a search warrant at a residence on Townsite Road; while many have been returned to their rightful owners, we would like to see the rest go back to where they belong,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for Prince George RCMP.
If you believe any of these tools belong to you, we ask that you attend the Prince George RCMP detachment on 455 Victoria Street to speak with a police officer. You will need to bring photo ID with you as well as proof of ownership. This could be proof of purchase that shows the serial number; an itemized spreadsheet with corresponding serial numbers; or a description of a unique identifier, such as company name or logo, engraved on the unit.
Due to the volume of items recovered, claimants should note we are unable to search for a specific tool in advance of someone attending the police detachment.
Four people known to police were arrested during the investigation; all were subsequently released pending future charge approval by the B.C. Prosecution Service.
This file remains under investigation.
