Police investigating report of shots fired in College Heights area

Prince George RCMP is currently investigating a report of shots fired that occurred around the 7100-block of Barbara Place on September 4, 2026.

The report came around 5:30 a.m., with a member of the public reporting hearing 5-6 shots and then seeing a white SUV leaving the neighbourhood rapidly; police officers are currently trying to determine if the two incidents are connected.

“We have confirmed there was gun fire in the area, and our investigators are working to determine the full circumstances of the event. We are asking for those in the adjacent blocks to check their surveillance systems and dash cameras for any suspicious or out-of-the-ordinary movement and report it to the police if found,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for Prince George RCMP.
