One person has died following an incident at the Prince Rupert Summer Carnival

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 10:40 pm, Prince Rupert RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at the Prince Rupert Summer Carnival.

A man was located unconscious near one of the rides. Despite efforts of EHS the man was later pronounced deceased.

The RCMP are assisting in the investigation along with Work Safe BC and BC Coroners Service. Any further inquiries should be directed to them.
