Members of the media are invited to attend and cover a mock crash scenario being held at McMath Secondary School on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

With graduation season approaching, this multi-agency initiative is designed to provide students with a powerful and realistic demonstration of the consequences of high-risk driving behaviours. The presentation highlights the dangers of distracted, impaired, and speeding-related driving, emphasizing the importance of making responsible decisions behind the wheel as both drivers and passengers.

The mock scenario will feature two previously damaged vehicles and student actors portraying individuals involved in a serious collision. Participants will be made up with realistic injuries to enhance the educational impact of the event. First responders will attend and treat the situation as an active crash scene, demonstrating emergency response procedures in real time.

Media are advised that the staging area will be located in the school parking lot. Road access to the school from Garry Street will be restricted during the event.
