Ridge Meadows RCMP advises that the electronic mobility bike that belonged to a child with special needs that was stolen in Maple Ridge on December 19, 2025, has been located and returned to the owner.

Over the past few days, officers had made investigative inquiries and received a few tips from the public before the bike was eventually turned into the detachment anonymously earlier this afternoon.

Ridge Meadows RCMP Frontline officers and City of Maple Ridge Community Safety Officers helped ensure the bike was properly identified and transported back to the owner.

“Thank you to the public and our community partners for their assistance in this matter,” says Ridge Meadows RCMP S/Sgt. Kuldeep Dhillon. “The owner was very appreciative of everyone’s efforts, especially being new to the community, and helping make the holidays a little brighter for their family.”

The investigation into the theft is still ongoing.
