Lakeshore Dr: At 9:15am police stopped a black Mazda to check for valid driver’s licence and driver sobriety. Police checks on the driver showed a history of impaired driving. The 35-year-old male driver admitted to consuming alcohol the previous night but otherwise appeared sober. A mandatory breath demand was conducted, and the driver blew a “fail.” The driver requested a second test and again blew a “fail.” The vehicle was impounded for 30 days, and the driver was given a 90-day driving prohibition.
Lakeshore Dr: At 9pm a 51-year-old woman reported she was pushed out of a local restaurant and wanted charges. At the same time police received another report of a disturbance involving the 51-year-old woman. Police attended and learned that the woman was upset about a steak that was not how she wanted it. The woman became irate and began telling and swearing at an employee, which resulted in the woman being asked to leave the restaurant. The woman continued to yell at staff when another customer stepped in an provided some extra guidance by escorting her out by the arm. The woman was not injured and there was no intent to assault her. The woman was advised that charges would not be happening, and she was no longer welcome in the restaurant.
