Charges approved in Sicamous shooting

On Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., Sicamous RCMP responded to a report of shots fired near a condo building in the 300 block of Mara Lane in Sicamous. Police arrived on scene and spoke with witnesses who described suspects leaving in a white SUV prior to police arriving. Police determined the intended target of the shooting was a Sicamous man who is known to police. The man had fled from the scene in another vehicle. Police located the man unharmed however his truck which was found to have multiple bullet holes was seized as part of the investigation.
A description of the suspect vehicle was broadcast to neighboring RCMP detachments. Salmon Arm RCMP attempted a traffic stop with a westbound white SUV approaching Canoe from the east which failed to stop for police. The vehicle was found abandoned near the Trans Canada Highway in Canoe. RCMP dog services and the Emergency Response Team arrested both suspects in a residential area of Canoe after successful dog tracks.
Dhol Bol, aged 23, and Tofik Tofik, aged 18 years, have each been charged with one count of Discharging a Firearm With Intent. The men who are from the Edmonton area will make court appearances this week with Bol scheduled to appear April 15, 2025, and Tofik on April 16, 2025.
