Sidney/North Saanich RCMP are investigating a break and enter at the Sidney Lawn Bowling Club after an unknown suspect allegedly entered the clubhouse overnight and stole approximately $1,200 in cash, and are seeking for the public’s assistance.

Police received the report at approximately 12:42 p.m. on July 17, 2026, after staff discovered the clubhouse had been rummaged through. Investigators reviewed surveillance footage which showed an unidentified male entering the building at approximately 8:33 p.m. on July 16 and remaining inside for over an hour. During the incident, the suspect allegedly accessed a lockbox containing approximately $1,200 in cash from a recent ticket sales event. Investigators are continuing to determine whether any additional property was taken.
