File No. 2026-1984

On April 30, 2026 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Sea to Sky RCMP (Squamish Detachment) investigators were conducting patrols in the downtown area of Squamish when they observed a male they knew to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

“The male once again attempted to flee from police, but investigators quickly and effectively took steps to take this individual into custody, resolving the situation safely”, said Corporal Katrina Boehmer, Media Relations Officer for the Sea to Sky RCMP.  “We are aware that numerous individuals in the area may have witnessed the altercation that occurred.  The individual with the outstanding warrant sustained no reported injuries during the arrest.”

Additional charges unrelated to the outstanding warrant are being considered against this individual, and for that reason, no further information will be provided at this time.

Anyone with any information regarding any crime is asked to contact the Sea to Sky Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to the website www.solvecrime.ca.
