Sea to Sky RCMP responds to reports of fires

On July 19, 2026 just after 4:00 a.m. the Sea to Sky RCMP (Squamish Detachment) received a request for attendance from Lions Bay Fire Department for a residence fully engulfed in flames on Kelvin Grove Way, Lions Bay. Shortly after, the Sea to Sky RCMP (Squamish Detachment) were notified of a vehicle on fire at Ocean Point Drive. There were no reported injuries at the time of police attendance.
The fires are believed to be related and are considered suspicious at this time. The Sea to Sky RCMP General Investigation Section has taken conduct of the investigation and is working with the Lions Bay Fire Department and BC Office of the Fire Commissioner to investigate the cause of the fires.
Sea to Sky RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance and asking anyone with any information related to the fires, including anyone with video footage from the area of the house or vehicle fires, to contact the Sea to Sky RCMP General Investigation Section at (604) 892-6100.
