Break & Enter

On September 16, a business in the 5500 block of Sechelt Inlet, Sechelt reported a break and enter where 3 statuaries were stolen. 2 unidentified individuals cut through chain link fencing and gained access. The suspects were captured on CCTV however had their face covered. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the RCMP, reference police file 2025-7507.


Theft

On September 9, two suspects stole a fire extinguisher from an open parkade in the 5600 block of Inlet Ave, Sechelt. The suspects were seen on CCTV stealing the fire extinguisher after breaking the glass panel before fleeing. Both suspects had face coverings. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the RCMP, reference police file 2025-7323.

On September 17, a suspect entered a business in the 900 block of Gibsons Way, Gibsons and stole two items before exiting the building without paying. The suspect was located and arrested and items were recovered. The individual received a 3 year trespass notice from the business.

On September 16, a suspect entered a business in the 900 block of Gibsons Way, Gibsons and stole a pair of Puma shoes before exiting without paying. Police are currently investigating but anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the RCMP, reference police file 2025-7540.


Impaired Driving

On September 20, a driver reported a motor vehicle incident in the 1600 block of North Rd, Gibsons after avoiding a deer. The driver was given a roadside alcohol screening test and after two fail results, was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition. The matter has been referred to RoadSafetyBC.

On September 10, police attended a call for service in the 1500 block of Henderson Ave. Upon arrival a vehicle attended and the driver displayed indications of impairment. The driver after obstructing police was given a roadside alcohol screening test and after a warn result the driver was issued a 3-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition and vehicle was impounded for 3 days. The matter has been referred to RoadSafetyBC.

On September 13, police attended a motor vehicle incident in the 4500 block of Esquire Dr, Madeira Park. The driver was given a roadside alcohol screening test and after two fail results, was issued a 90-day Immediate Roadside Prohibition. The matter has been referred to RoadSafetyBC.

 

Property Found

On September 14, a saw, cane and jumper cables were located in the 5600 block of Osprey St, Sechelt. Owner may claim with a detailed description within 90 days. Please reference police file number 2025-7438.

On September 10, a ring was located in the 1200 Stewart Rd, Gibsons. Owner may claim with a detailed description within 90 days. Please reference police file number 2025-7347.

On September 19, a backpack was found in the 1100 block of Sunshine Coast Hwy, Gibsons. Owner may claim with a detailed description within 90 days. Please reference police file number 2025-8190.
