One person charged in connection with the death of two people

On Tuesday, April 9, 2024, Tsay Keh Dene RCMP responded to a report of shots fired in a residence with injuries to multiple people.

Two people are confirmed to have been located deceased in the original residence of the complaint. BC RCMP North District Major Crime is conducting a concurrent investigation into the deaths of the two deceased. The IIO BC is investigating police actions in the incident. On Friday, April 12, 2024 charges were laid in connection with this investigation. Orlan Marcel Dennis has been charged with two counts of 2nd degree murder, and is currently in custody.
